In the upcoming months the EU-Commission will start discussions on the regulation of Organic Wine production.
The ORWINE project will soon propose to the EU-Commission a Recommendation.
Before the preparation of the final version, the ORWINE project wants to listen to the opinions of the stakeholders in detail.
One of the actions planned is this survey, which is widely proposed to all European producers of organic wines through their associations.
This survey is reserved to stakeholders involved in organic wine production and trading.
Most questions express a preliminary position which is raised from the analysis of data obtained from the ORWINE project: a producer survey on technologies used in 2007, chemical analysis of more than 1000 entries of organic wine competitions in Italy, France and Germany, results of the ORWINE 2-year research and of field trials conducted in more than 30 commercial pilot wineries in Europe, discussions with consumer groups in five countries, and market-surveys involving more than 30 market actors.
Even if based on solid data, our assumptions might not take in account all situations.
Please answer all the questions asked in the following pages.
At the end of the questionnaire, if you wish you can leave your name and e-mail to receive later updating on the ORWINE Recommendations for Regulating Organic Wine making and on other ORWINE results.
