Atmosphere 2009

Survey: Natural Refrigerants for Developing Countries

Page One
Dear National Expert,

“Atmosphere 2009” – an international conference on natural refrigerants - will be held in Europe’s decision-making centre Brussels on 19-20 October 2009. It is meant to bring together policy, industry, and the finance community to discuss the opportunities and barriers that the three natural refrigerants are facing. We have invited more than 30 high-level speakers from UNEP, the European Commission, TEAP, the Worldbank, UNIDO, NGOs, as well as from companies from four continents to show how and where CO2, ammonia, and hydrocarbons can be used.

In case you cannot attend, please use this survey to answer to three short questions about the acceptance of natural refrigerants in your country. Please also take a moment to ask questions we will forward to speakers and industry experts attending Atmosphere 2009. We will share the results with you!
1. Do you have enough information about natural refrigerants - carbon dioxide, ammonia, and hydrocarbons - and their potential to reduce the global warming impact, eliminate ozone depletion, and save energy? Required Question
2. What would be the best way to address natural refrigerants and exchange knowledge about their ecological, economic, and social potential? Required Question
3. Given the choice between natural refrigerants and chemical refrigerants at the same cost: Which would you choose? Required Question
4. Which questions would you like to ask delegates of Atmosphere 2009 (UN, UNIDO, TEAP, World Bank, European Commission, NGOs, GTZ & Industry experts)?
5. Please provide us with the following information if you want to receive the survey results and/or a possible answer to your question(s).
